I just wanted to let everyone know that tomorrow, September 1st, 2009 begins my ClickBank Journal. As I mentioned before, I will be implementing strategies for selling products from ClickBank and tracking my results for my first two months.

My goal is to reach at least $5000 by October 31st, 2009.

I will listing every detail of what I am doing along the way.

I have been putting together strategies all this week for this project. Hence the reason it’s been a week since my last post here on My Life Finance.

No worries, though! Starting tomorrow I will be posting regularly to show my statistics for my ClickBank account, listing everything I’ve done in detail to get traffic and “hops”, and giving a general review and my thoughts and feelings of the results.

For the readers who do not know what ClickBank is exactly:

ClickBank is an online affiliate program in which you earn commissions off each and every product that you sell via your unique purchase link for each product. These products typically consist of digital goods such as e-books.

It is an awesome affiliate program. Many have been known to make a very hefty full-time income via ClickBank. So, I am taking a shot at it and reviewing the program in detail as I progress through two whole months of promoting products and attempting to make at least $5000 my first two months with ClickBank.

So, be sure to follow me through as I will be detailing my methods of obtaining traffic and “hops”, my personal sales strategies, and much more!

Ok, so now that some time has passed and I actually have the time to put into marketing, research, and link development, I am yet again going to start up a ClickBank journal.

This time around I am setting a goal to make $5000 in just two months. I will be using nothing but FREE promotional means during the first month, and then a little bit of paid advertising in the second.

I will be noting and documenting all of my experiences right here on My Life Finance, so be sure to watch for my updates.

I will begin to fully initiate this project on September 1st, 2009 and will continue it until October 31st, 2009.

I will be posting screen shots of my ClickBank account including the sales, reports, and everything else that would be able to see in your standard ClickBank account.

I am hoping that I will succeed in meeting my goal of $5000 in two months. I will be primarily focusing my efforts on producing sales with ClickBank, but you will see me post my stats every other day or so.

Not only will I be posting my statistics, I will also go over every single detail of everything I do from start to finish in order to analyze and reflect on different promotional strategies. That way, if I find a wonder method, you will know too!

So be sure to keep up with me as I begin this project.

Over the course of the past six months I have not only been blogging about personal about personal finance, but I have also been searching the web for legitimate sources of online income. I’ve come across a lot of sites claiming to pay you to do miscellaneous tasks, many of which have turned out to be scams.

I have, however, found a few that are legitimate and actually do pay you.

But only just recently have I come across an online money-making opportunity that shows promise for now AND later. A legitimate business that just about anyone can take advantage of and be earning a profit within their first 24 hours of starting known as freebie trading.

Freebie trading is a unique, easy way to start earning money. It isn’t difficult to do at all.

The basic concept behind freebie trading is to make a profit by getting paid to sign up for free and low-cost trials offered by advertisers. Some are completely free to try, others require a small fee for shipping you a product (usually around $2-$8). But with that small investment comes great profit. And the more freebie trades you complete, the greater profit you will see.

It may sound confusing, but it’s actually very simple.

A good site to check out that covers the basics of freebie trading and even offers great training in it is Freebieland Gateway. The site offers live support and great training for those of you who might be interested in starting in freebie trading.

It’s a very profitable business. I’m just now starting to get into it myself. It’s definitely something I can see myself doing for a while. Especially if the financial gain continues to grow as it has been!

I will keep you updated on my progress and share my results in the near future.

This past week has brought up a ton of awesome articles throughout the personal finance blogging ring on the web. Here’s a glance at what the buzz has been around The Money Bloggers network of blogs:

Ben, at Banker Saver, wrote a very informative article on maximizing your savings income by discussing the basics of building a CD ladder. If you’re not familiar with the concept of a CD ladder, be sure to check out this post and educate yourself in this. It’s well worth the read!

Johnathan, author of Debt Loans, shared a great descriptive of personal loans. The post covers  everything from the definition of an unsecure loan to the miscellaneous fees that you may face when paying off a loan. If you’re unsure of what you’re getting into going into applying for a loan, this post is for you.

At MilkingTheDollar Matt has compiled a wholesome list of 20 ways to make an extra $100 per month. Who can resist taking a peek at such an enticing concept? Honestly, if you’re well off enough to not want to think about earning an extra $2000 a month, my name is Bradley Jones, I accept checks, Paypal, debit or credit. I leave it up to you =)

Over at Wallet Wise you’ll find a great article on how stocking up can save you money. If you’re budgeting yourself and need to figure out how to cut back a bit on that nasty grocery bill that you just can’t avoid, make a smart click and check out what Wallet Wise can offer in advice.

Ever since the rise of the massively popular online auction site Ebay came to be, there have been swarms of imitators attempting to achieve the same success.swoopo

And, of course, there is always a scam in the works that draws people in only to suck them dry under their noses.

Swoopo is one of the most cleverly designed scams that I have seen in quite a while.

On the outside Swoopo looks to be a bargain hunter’s dream. Items constantly being sold up to %75 off the original price. Auctions are always available. You can see current bids in real time instead of refreshing your page on a minute by minute basis. Even the entire purchasing system is on a very secure page.

This is the beauty that hides the beast.

While you’re bidding away at your heart’s desire, trying ever so hard to get that amazing deal on the item you long to have Swoopo is working in the background charging you 60 cents every single time you place a bid. Not to mention every time you make a bid you add more time on the clock for that particular item. So, unlike Ebay, you can’t come in at the last second, make the perfect bid, and be on your way with the item. You have to wait until no one bids on that item again. And don’t forget you’re getting put 60 cents in the hole each time you try to “swoop in” with a bid.

Also, bid increments are locked in at 15 cents. This isn’t something you can change. That’s why most items on Swoopo are sold so cheap. But if you really think about how many bids it takes to buy something like an Xbox 360 for $50 at 15 cents a bid you can see how Swoopo is able to do this:

$50 divided by $.15 = around $333.33.

So, in other words, that Xbox 360 is being sold for $333.33. An item that sells brand new in places like Walmart for $199. Swoopo makes almost $134 in profit. One person gets away with a cheap Xbox while others pay Swoopo an almost %75 over the actual cost of the system.

And there lies the beast under the beauty.

Don’t waste your money playing the lottery on Swoopo, people. It’s not a good investment. Ebay is a much sounder decision in the case of online auctions.

For those of you who have already fallen prey to this elaborate scheme, please make sure you know what you are getting yourself into before plunging head first into disaster next time!
