January proved to be another great month for me. I managed to get a cuople random sales in niches I hadn’t previously made any money with. These were Clickbank products that I hadn’t touched in a couple months so it was a nice surprise bonus.

I’ve still been getting a ton of messages on Facebook asking me the details behind what I do and how I make money online…

As I’ve mentioned before, it’s quite a bit to explain to any one individual. But I am creating a step-by-step guide that will explain everything in extreme detail. It’s currently sitting at almost 40 pages and I still have a bit more to add to it. That should tell you how much is involved in this.

For those of you who haven’t read any of my previous posts on the matter, what I do online is known as internet marketing. I’ve been averaging $3,000 a month steadily since November ‘09 and that income is soon to increase.

Don’t get scared away from this just because I say there’s a lot to it, though. It does consist of quite a bit, but it’s all really easy stuff. It’s just a bit time consuming.

Anyone can do this. If you can write in English and click buttons on your computer, you can do this.

But you do have to work at it as with any job.

The guide that I’m putting out will not be free. I don’t have a price tag set on it yet, but I can tell you that I’ve been advised to set the price to at least $47 due to the quality of the content. This isn’t your average BS guide that someone threw together after they made their first $1 online or some hyped up scam claiming that you can make millions online.

We all know that things like that are a load of crap.

What I’m putting will guide you to being able to do what I do. And I make about $3,000 a month with it right now. I’m not claiming that I make a fortune. It’s an income. That’s it.

But, being only 21, $3,000 a month ($36k a year) is pretty darn good if you ask me.

Again, for visual proof of my income, here are screenshots of my accounts for the month of January. The blacked out areas are of personal information of mine and customers.

It’s been a little over a month now since I began my ClickBank Journal. Due to the fact that I had been working heavily on My Life Finance at the same time I was unable to do a whole lot.

I’m sure most of you have noticed by now that my posts are becoming a bit more infrequent. This is because I’m devoting much of my time to my ClickBank Journal project now.Clickbank Journal

I’ve recently discovered new promotional methods which in the past day or so have proven to be successful.

I am currently promoting about 8 products. I won’t list what they are for another month or so, though. This is only because I want to collect a good amount of stats on how the products perform before telling you whether or not they are worth your time promoting as well.

I won’t be posting as frequently because, quite frankly, I need money. And I’ve found affiliate marketing to help my cause and I am going to put my full efforts into that in order to produce results.

I will still be sharing my experience and a detailed step-by-step recap of everything that I’ve done since day one, but it may be a few weeks delayed.

I won’t post an update on my earnings until the end of the Clickbank Journal, but keep in mind it IS possible to make big money with this!
Remember my first sale? I know I’ll never forget it!

Yesterday I managed to write and submit two more articles. Both were for one product in particular. It’s actually the very same product that I made my first ClickBank sale with which I had posted about here:

I plan on promoting this product a bit more than the rest for right now. I believe it has a high value and will sell very well if I promote it right.

I worked on those two articles and a little bit of back linking yesterday (Day 9).

Today, which is now the 10th day of my ClickBank Journal, has been a bit on the upside.

The first article that I had submitted to EzineArticles back on August the 27th was finally approved! Yes, it took a whole 2 weeks, but it’s finally live!

I’ve been very frustrated with Ezine’s slow reviewing process. It’s only supposed to take a maximum of seven days to have an article reviewed and approved or denied there, but they’ve really been slowing down their approval times.

I’ve read on several forums that many people are experiencing this same problem and have moved on to publishing on other article directories.

Recently, I’ve been using Articles Base as my primary directory to submit to. I do still submitarticlesbaselogo to EzineArticles, but as with any business, time is money. And having to wait two weeks to have just one article approved is a bit outrageous.

I may eventually stop submitting to EzineArticles entirely if I don’t see an improvement soon. I would hate to have to do that simply because EzineArticles ranks high in Google results and the traffic is generally much higher than any other article directory, but I can’t keep wasting time if I want to achieve my goal.

I also submitted a few more articles today. Most of which were again for the same product that produced my very first sale. I did submit them to EzineArticles, but I also submitted them to Articles Base. My articles that I’ve submitted to Articles Base have been approved as quick as within 4 hours and the traffic that I am seeing from them is picking up nicely.

I am in the process of writing a few more articles. I really need to pick up my article count. The more I have out there, the better. So, I will be focusing on developing more articles for the remainder of this week.

As always, I’ll keep you posted on my progress!

Today is day 5 of my ClickBank Journal. Almost a week into this 2 month long project.

I took yesterday off (Day 4). Normal people do not work seven days a week, why should we? You can’t stress yourself out. You have to take time off to relax and take it easy.

I haven’t done much today. I submitted my articles to a few more article directories that I had found through a Google search. I mainly worked on SEO and back-linking for My Life Finance.

I have to set aside time here and there for my site as well as my ClickBank Project. Otherwise, you guys wouldn’t have the blessing of getting to read my posts all the time!

I haven’t had any more sales yet. Granted ClickBank’s reporting system has been updating irregularly the past few days. So I may have a couple of sales that just haven’t shown up yet.

Tomorrow I plan on churning out more articles to submit. I’m still waiting on Ezine Articles to review my others. A couple of my articles are from the last day of August. It’s kind of frustrating that they have even initiated the review process for them still. Hopefully they will soon.

I had every intention of pumping out more articles today, but instead I decided to take the time to do a bit more research on marketing methods, products, and keyword research.

I’ve had a little over 150 “hops” to the ClickBank products that I am promoting and I wanted to find ways to better my chances of conversions and for getting even more traffic as well.

What I found was a source that ended up being extremely informative. Usually when I do a search for article marketing or “get more traffic” I get a bunch of hype or just plain crap that is common sense and is pretty much useless information, but the  source I’m about to summarize is fantastic, very informative, and actually provided me with a greater marketing strategy.

The source I am speaking of is Rosalind Gardner’s Super Affiliate Handbook. I have read through quite a few ebooks claiming to teach you “secrets” and such about affiliate marketing, but they end up being just a huge promo prompting you to buy even more ebooks. Rosalind Gradner’s handbook is nothing like that.

To summarize what her book covers, here is a list of the major topics of what the book is comprised of:

  • Intro To Affiliate Marketing - Rosalind really breaks down exactly what affiliate marketing is and what it’s about. She covers what the business is about, 6 ways that affiliates earn money, an overview of the business building process, and tells you the software that may help you, and gives you service and organization tips as well.
  • How To Find A Profitable Niche - In this chapter Rosalind tells you what it takes to find and/or make a niche profitable for you and even shows you how to find out what the demand and competition for that particular niche are.
  • Plan And Build Your Site - This chapter covers every aspect you need to know about building a professional website including: domain names, web hosting, blog setups, themes and design. She makes a point to clearly define all that you need to do to make a site that will help you make even more even on a budget.
  • Content Really is King - Rosalind discusses how and why content is so important to your success. She also goes over 6 ways to build your content, gives you her list of 5 “must have” website pages, tells you how to plan your content around keywords and categories to help you rank better in SEO (search engine optimization), and explains how to make your site “Google friendly”.
  • Monetize Your Site - Anything and everything that is legitimate and will make your site profitable for you is listed in detail in this chapter.
  • 31 Ways to Market Your Site (I especially love this chapter simply because it not only applies to your website, but even how to market your individual articles and products) - This chapter details 31 methods of marketing. From email marketing to social bookmarking, you will find a vast amount of information that will help you get out there and have your content noticed. If you don’t read anything else throughout this book, READ THIS CHAPTER.
  • Manage Your Business - Rosalind gives you a great schedule of tasks that you should be doing daily, weekly, monthly, and even yearly to keep track of your business. She teaches you how to really treat this like a business and to learn how to improve your business as it moves along.
  • Grow Your Business - This chapter discusses how to negotiate raises (yes it is possible once you reach a certain status) and also goes over even more ways to make profit from your business.
  • Problem Solving and Annoyances - As with any business, you may run into a few minor issues here and there. This chapter tells you how to get through them and prevent them from happening in the future. There is also a list of 25 things to avoid as an affiliate that are very helpful tips.

Overall this book has been a tremendous blessing. This has been the first book that I have found that has actually covered EVERYTHING that I wanted to know. And it has helped me to better my marketing campaigns and I am glad that I picked it up so early on into my 2 month long journal.

If you’re planning on getting into selling on ClickBank, Plimus, or any other affiliate program, I highly recommend you grab a copy of this to read through. It’s worth it’s weight in gold.

Again the book is The Super Affiliate Handbook by Rosalind Gardner.

My research took up a good portion of my day, but I also managed to put up a couple of free blogs to use for promotional purposes as well. If you choose to use free blogs I would recommend using either Wordpress or Blogger. Both platforms are great and actually rank well in Google.

That’s all for today. I’m hoping to churn out some more articles over the next few days. Again, I’m still awaiting approval on about 7 articles I have submitted to EzineArticles. They sure take their time getting to submissions. Oh well, nothing I can do but wait!
